AUGUST :: nourish. (a question for you)

Kelly: bowls of rainier cherries, green juice and the BIG green table filled with so many pieces of color.
Liz: Today, I hope to nourish myself with drinking lots of water, reading a few poems in the quiet, taking my camera for a short walk, and going to bed just a bit earlier than I want to.
You: What nourishes you? Today? Always?

More protein than I ever thought I could eat. Eating Paleo. Cheating on Paleo on Sundays. A bowl of grapes and Rainer Cherries. Bed by 10:30. Listening to my body's cry and laying in the sun in the middle of the day for a half hour. Looking at photos of that which nourishes me so deeply - ocean, forest, fern - when I'm so far geographically. Nuzzling my son.
Today: A bowl of fresh peach slices, directly from the orchard & a lovely email from a friend.
Always: finding magic through the lense of my camera, cuddling with my dog, laughter with friends, time spent as a couple with my love, futzing in the studio.
Today: Lots of fruit (peaches, cherries, bananas ... ); more protein; exercise (walk/run on the treadmill); lots and lots of water; and maybe a nap.
Always: regular exercise, good sleep and a tasty book.
Getting up early for some quiet ME time. Ideally, a little stretching for my increasingly achy muscles (perimenopause is not for the meek!), a meditation and then a walk with my dog and camera. If nothing else, I get up to go lie down (!) putting on my iPod with nature sounds and letting the Universe recharge my batteries. A kind of Savasana with ocean sounds. If I give myself this little space at the beginning of my day, I find the rest of it feels more open and less rushed.
good questions.
today i am trying to eat well{cherries}. drink lots of water, listening to an audio book and giving myself breaks at work.
having a cup of tea or coffee; practicing the tibetan 5 rites; meditation; a morning fruit smoothie; writing notes to friends; sitting in the sun. this is a great theme to think about & take notice of throughout the month.
