om. (a question for you)
In this context, we are using "om" to mean: an experience or moment when you feel centered and connected to something greater than you.
Kelly: allowing my head to slow down, running my fingers through wet paint and lighting one of my favorite zena moon candles. when i need extra "om" i chant my favorite mantra - om mani padme hum. i can always find it there.
Liz: My feet in the sand listening to the push and pull of the waves. Writing a poem. Putting away everything to just be right here and have a meal outside in the backyard with my family.
You: How do you find your om? Let us know in the comments today.

sitting outside w/a glass of tea or wine, depending on the time of day & mood. burning a zena moon candle (i love them too!) listening to either the classical music station on the radio or a meditative cd (kundalini chants or singing bowls) and at times, cleaning! organizing throwing things out. helps me stay in the present moment.
It's that moment when I'm in my studio, music cranked up and I'm in the zone. I hit a point when the creating seems effortless and I'm tapped into the magic.
I feel most centered and still and connected near water (especially the ocean). Since I live in Dallas, I'm trying to find how to feel that same connection when there isn't a large body of water near me. ;-)
When I'm doing yoga and am able to shut off the distractions and really honor my body's ability to move, stretch, balance and shift . . . when I'm in nature, mostly the ocean or a forested area . . . when I'm freely dancing and letting go of inhibition
I find my om by taking a long walk. It's the only way to truly get out of all the other heads (on the internet) and into my own. I begin to turn over all the thoughts that are singular and specific only to myself, and that feels like OM to me. Finding my rooting and balance again. I also find a lot of answers.
Lovely question ladies.

I find my om when my children are near. Especially when one may lay their sweet head upon my lap and let me stroke their hair. That doesn't happy much any longer. Connecting physically centers me. Love for my family is my center. When we are as one, I am fulfilled.
I find my om when I'm walking very early in the morning. I love to get up and go for a 30 minute walk around sunrise. It's so peaceful out--no traffic in my neighborhood yet, squirrels and birds just waking up...deer nervously nibbling by the edge of the woods...bliss.
